Kandy Grocer was founded by Prabhath Liyanage, a Sri Lankan entrepreneur currently based in Auckland, New Zealand. With a professional background in Quantity Surveying and years of international experience working in Sri Lanka and the Middle East, he moved to New Zealand to pursue higher studies and successfully completed a Master’s degree in Construction Law at Massey University with Distinction.
Driven by a passion for business, community, and Sri Lankan culture, Prabhath established Kandy Grocer with the vision of creating more than just a grocery store — a place where people can find authentic Sri Lankan products, flavours, and a sense of home.
