This journey began with a shared dream between my husband and me — a dream to build something meaningful, not just for ourselves, but for our community.
Before moving to New Zealand, we were part of a family business in Sri Lanka, specialising in gold pawning. That experience taught us the true value of trust, responsibility, and helping people during important moments in their lives. Finance was never just about money for us — it was about supporting people when they needed it the most.
When we moved to New Zealand, we started from the ground up. We both worked with vehicle dealerships and finance brokerage companies, gaining hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the New Zealand finance industry. Those years shaped our knowledge, strengthened our skills, and inspired us to create something of our own.
That’s how Guardian Finance Limited was born.
